War, Inc.

Millenium Films (2008)
Director: Joshua Seftel

A sharp, political satire directed by Joshua Seftel and starring John Cusack, Marisa Tomei, Ben Kingsley, Joan Cusack, Dan Aykroyd, and Hilary Duff. Set in a fictional, war-torn country occupied by a private American corporation, this high-adrenaline film looks at war as a profit engine where commercial interests trump all others. When the company’s corrupt CEO wants to capitalize on the rich oil opportunities the war-torn nation offers, he hires a troubled hit man (John Cusack) to kill a Middle East oil minister. As the assassin struggles to carry out his mission while maintaining his front as a Trade Show Producer and keeping a sexy left wing reporter in check, he suffers his own overdue crisis of conscience in this biting farce about war-profiteering and American imperialism.
